Tutorials
It would be lovely if I could post all sorts of perfect tutorials showing perfect results. However, that's never going to happen. For one thing, much of baking is about covering mistakes. And for another thing, I'm a beginner, for goodness sake! And my little Chinese kitchen is tiny. My baking area is comprised of a kitchen table in my living room, a baker's cabinet in my hallway, and a kitchen only big enough for counters and a sink. This means that my mess gets spread around three rooms, no matter how much I try to be clean.
I'm going to show you my "dirty laundry." I'm going to put up tutorials of what I've been working on, but I'm going to show you my mistakes as well. Or at least, I'm going to describe my mistakes. That way when you are trying to bake for yourself, you can learn from my experiences, both good and bad.

Gingerbread House
My first tutorial is going to be for a gingerbread house. I made this one over "Golden Week," in October of 2012. I was quite proud of it at the time, though when I look back on pictures now, I think, "Wow! That is so plain!"
Christmas Gingerbread House & Train Set
My second tutorial is for the same gingerbread house, but in the Christmas style and with a gingerbread train as well. I'll be building upon my foundational knowledge, so if you are looking to build a gingerbread house, I'd read the first tutorial before this one as I'm going to have a lot of assumed knowledge present. Christmas House and Train Set.
Christmas Gingerbread Church
This gingerbread church was much taller than anything I had yet done; however, it was much smaller and so was quicker to complete. I also had the added help of two little girls who decorated it for me. The finished gingerbread church was given to a family friend and her eight children.
